Tribute to the Founder of MYA, Margaret Young

We’re sorry to announce that we’ve lost our founding partner, Margaret Young, who has died of kidney failure on December 2nd, at the age of 83.

As well as creating MYA, Margaret was a skilled glider pilot, motorcyclist and yachtswoman; wife, mother and grandmother; Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, and Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health.

Working with her daughter, Carla McKenzie, she built MYA to a position of market leadership. After retirement, she watched with interest as the company expanded into international markets.

It’s a sad day. We’re grateful to Margaret for founding MYA – and inspired by her ability to change, grow, and overcome new challenges, throughout her life.
